INTRODUCTION OF S.B. SIDDIQUIA ETIMKHANA (Orphanage)

Introduction/History

 

This project had started in year 2000, with the help of local people and well-wishers with the aims:

 

• Hifzul Qur’an Madrasa

• Provide education up to class 7 both religious and general curriculum

• Education in light of Holly Qur’an and Sunnah

• Technical Education (IT and sewing Training)

• Total boarding facilities for orphans and the needy including expenses

• To facilitate further study support for those graduating (signposting)

Initially we had started with only two students in 2000. At present there are more than 50 students full time including 40 students in boarding house (orphanage).

 

The project had started from the verandah of the local mosque without any funding or property belonging to it. Alhamdullilah, we have come a long way with your support and prayers. In 2001, we had initially acquired 10 decimal land for the project, subsequently purchased a further 10 decimals in 2002. The total cost for buying the land up to now has been 4,50,000 BDT.

 

The cost for initial building was around 2,00,000 BDT which was built in 2002. Currently we have undertaken building works for the main campus consisting of two blocks which are five-storied buildings made up of around 52 rooms. This is expected to cater for 2000 students including 300 boarding students. The campus also has provisions for staff living quarters, mass, library, medical room, computer facilities, and sewing room among other facilities.

 

To complete the building works for this current project it is estimated that the total cost will reach 30,000,000 BDT (30 million).

 

Main Campus

Building work on Block A had started in February 2008. To date we have completed external structural works up to the 3rd floor. The on-going costs for the building works have reached 50, 00,000 BDT (5 million) so far. 

Achievements:

In 2008, two students have completed the hifz (memorization) of The Holly Qur’an.

 

In 2009, four students have completed the hifz of The Holly Qur’an.

 

We are anticipating in 2010 ten students will complete the hifz of The Holly Qur’an. in-sha-Allah.

 

We have achieved the best result for the Abde-Bari Huffaz-ul-Qur’an Board,Bangladesh for the local region Chandgram, Borolekha, Moulvibazar,Bangladesh.
